Ao傲
Duo for Banzhang Ancient Tea Trees
Ao with a string instrument and score
Two trees. Two voices. A character held between them.
A first-spring raw Pu’er composition from two ancient trees: a sweet-tea tree in Laomane and a native Banzhang tree. The maker takes inspiration from Kodály’s duo for violin and cello, refining the interaction between two strongly individual sources.

02 / IN THE LEAF
A dialogue in the leaf.
Laomane brings a balance of bitterness and sweetness with a cocoa-like character. The native Banzhang component carries orchid, honey and grain aromas, with a broad, lingering finish.
